Courses There is a broad range of Entomology courses and degree programs offered at Florida A&M University. Bachelor of ScienceFAMU offers a B.S. degree in Agricultural Sciences with an option in Entomology. The option in Entomology prepares individuals to seek positions in State and Federal agencies or private businesses that concern themselves with various entomological activities. The B.S. curriculum is offered for students interested in positions in urban entomology, aquatic environmental sciences, and general entomology. Excellent employment opportunities are available in Florida and the Southeast. Master of ScienceFAMU also offers an M.S. Degree in Agricultural Sciences with a concentration in Entomology. Students often study topics in aquatic entomology, ecology, biological control, and systematics. Doctor of PhilosophyA PhD Program in Entomology in cooperation with the University of Florida recently has been implemented. Graduate faculty specialize in the systematics, ecology and biology of aquatic insects, biting flies, and weevils as well as other entomological subjects.
