Michel Sartori and Tomas Soldán have made a proposal to the International Commission for Zoological Nomenclature regarding the nomenclature of Baetis pentaphlebodes and Baetis nexus which appeared on March 31. Any scientist is invited to write to the Secretary of the ICZN to give his opinion for or against this proposal. We would be very happy if you could express your feeling in this matter. An updated list of the type-speciemens of Ephemeroptera in the Laboratory of Aquatic Entomology Museum Collections at Florida A&M University has been added.
XIIth International Conference on Ephemeroptera
The XIIth International Conference on Ephemeroptera will be held 8-14 June 2008 in Stuttgart. Arnold Staniczek now has a web site up with more information.
New Chinese Mayfly Web Site
Dr Zhou Chang-Fa of Nanjing Normal University announces a new web site on Chinese mayflies hosted by Ephemeroptera Galactica.
Frederico Salles has a new web site on the Ephemeroptera do Brasil which includes a new checklist of the Brazilian species.
The Mayfly Virtual Library is developing as time goes by. Arne Haybach (Ephemeroptera Germanica) deserves special thanks for his help. Contributions from others (of special note: Javier Alba-Tercedor, Dave Baumgardner, and Luke Jacobus) are greatly appreciated. Why not take this time to make your papers available for others in their research?
