Overview and Administration
Entomology programs at Florida A&M University cover several diverse fields of study. They include basic programs in Undergraduate and Graduate Education, Biological Control, Pest Management, Public Health, Water Quality, and outreach programs for schools, 4-H, extension, and continuing education activities. All entomology programs and insect collections are housed in the College of Engineering Sciences, Technology and Agriculture, as Agriculture is a broad field that incorporates water quality, protection and conservation of environmental resources, and international projects as well as more conventional crop-based research.

The basic teaching collections fulfill the fundamental training need in all these areas. Less often recognized but of greater significance are the research collections in aquatic entomology where FAMU serves as Conservator for the World.
